Rabbi Shaya & Rebbetzin Miera Winiarz

Rabbi Winiarz is charismatic, personable, and enjoys connecting with other people. He honed his interpersonal skills growing in a home which focused on kiruv – the art of reaching out and establishing a human connection. He learned how to help others in a discrete way from watching and helping his parents run the Bikkur Cholim Food Pantry and the Furniture/Clothing Shidduch Service which Staten Island is famously known for.

Rabbi Winiarz is a world-renowned author and columnist who brings a great breadth of knowledge to the table. He has received numerous semichos and certifications in a great many fields. He holds a Yoreh Yoreh semicha from Rav Moshe Heineman of the Star-K, as well as a Yoreh Yoreh Yadin Yadin semicha from Yeshivas Chofetz Chaim. Rabbi Winiarz has also received a third semicha in Rav Yitzchak Berkovits’ overseas program. In addition, Rabbi Winiarz is a certified shochet, as well as a practicing mohel and posek. He also trained extensively in a number of areas of halacha, such as Taharas HaMishpacha, Eruvin, and Community Kashrus. Lastly, Rabbi Winiarz holds a Post-Graduate Degree in Advanced Rabbinics, Pastoral Care & Synagogue Management.

Rebbetzin Winiarz is warm, pleasant, and also learned the art of communal responsibility in her home setting. With lessons from a father who took charge of setting up shiva homes or doing hashgacha in the local restaurants and factories, and a mother who would set up Bikkur Cholim rooms in hospitals, Rebbetzin Winiarz is ready to continue on the path of helping a community thrive.

Rebbetzin Winiarz is an experienced elementary-school teacher. Her natural organizational skills enable her to arrange events for those around her, whether it’s shiurim and workshops, or simply fun activities and social get-togethers. Her passion lies in guiding couples to achieve meaningful relationships in the private aspects of marriage. She is a graduate of numerous marriage and intimacy courses, and has studied under numerous Rebbetzins, therapists, and teachers to become the Marriage Mentor that she is today. Rebbetzin Winiarz is also a kallah teacher, and received her certification from the world-renowned Mrs. Rochel Goldbaum.

Rabbi and Rebbetzin Winiarz have four children.
